| Hotel AV: Hotels offer a unique challenge. You fly into PDX with a mission that you have been planning for perhaps 4 months, and with it on your calendar for much longer still. Your audience will be here in the morning, and between you and them is a high school kid the hotel hired to run sound for you. They are marking this kid up 450% for your convenience, and because it looks good on paper. This is gently nagging away at the back of your mind as you go through your PowerPoint, and now your are looking at our page. Hotel AV techs come in many different flavors. We can offer you a choice, rather than reaching in the hat and hoping for a lucky draw. Our techs make an area standard wage - they get paid enough that it would really hurt to jeopardize their future with screw-ups on your show. We include an administrative fee not to line our pockets, but to ensure that if someone calls in sick, there is someone else ready to step in if need be.
